National Park – Belovezhskaya Pushcha – a Journey into nature – the ecological trail

Excursion “Journey into nature” along the ecological trail of the natural complex “Blue lakes” is a meeting with one of the most interesting and unique corners of nature of Belarusian Poozerie.

“Blue lake” (formerly titled reserve of national importance, established in 1972 on the area of 1500 ha, now natural complex, since 1999 in the national Park “Narochansky”) is a unique hilly moraine natural complex.

Nature Blue lakes is so rich and diverse that can serve as both a monument of the glacial era (the relative height differences up to 50 m) and a natural laboratory for naturalists.

The center of this natural complex is Boldukskaya lake group, each of which is unique. Bolduc is renowned for deep, clear and cold water; Globla – green water and high transparency; shaped glubelka – very beautifully shaped lake; in Imera – soapy, soft water, Achment – brackish (with salinity of over 300 mg/l). All these lakes are in the basin of fast and rapids of the river Stracha, the right inflow of the river Viliya.

The pedestrian part of the excursion along the ecological path length of about 4 km, where the road trippers into the deep Blue lakes become narrow paths, kladochka over fallen trees and small bridges over streams and the river Stracha.

The path meanders among the green thickets, rushing down the hillside, climbing on the ridge of oz. Pearls of ecological trails – amazing lake Globle, shaped glubelka and Dead, on the banks of which you can rest – appear to the eyes of astonished tourists in all its glory; reveal their secrets of plants and animals “Blue lakes”. Here nature seems to say to the man: “I give you all these lakes, and woods, and flowers, and grass, and the air — all the things that make your life beautiful. It’s all yours, enjoy! But take care”.

For the convenience of visitors, ecological trails along the route are the National Park information boards and signs, observation deck, gazebos, resting places, wooden carved sculptures, pedestrian bridges, safety of tourists, the route in places with difficult terrain is equipped with stairs, installed fencing along trails in areas of steep slopes.

We have a saying – “If You arrived at the Naroch – You have not seen anything, but if you visited the “Blue lakes” I saw everything!”.
